📖 A Thought from My Personal Meditation
Exodus 21:28–36
“The Responsibility of What Is Entrusted to Us”
As I continued reading Exodus 21, I was reminded of a simple but important truth: we are responsible for what has been entrusted to us.
In this passage, the owner of an ox was held responsible when the animal caused harm—especially when the owner knew that it was dangerous but failed to take the necessary precautions.
This made me think about our own lives.
We may not be responsible for everything that happens around us. But we are responsible for what God has placed in our hands—our words, our actions, our responsibilities, and the influence we have on others.
Sometimes, the greatest damage is not caused by what we do intentionally, but by what we knowingly fail to do.
“So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”
James 4:17
This is a reminder to live with awareness and responsibility. Our actions can affect the lives of others. Our words can either heal or hurt. Our negligence can sometimes cause harm that we never intended.
But the good news is that God does not only reveal our responsibilities—He also gives us the grace to live responsibly.
Let us therefore ask ourselves:
What has God entrusted to me?
Am I taking proper care of it?
Are my words and actions bringing life, or causing unnecessary hurt?
May God help us to be faithful and responsible stewards of everything He has placed in our hands.
🙏 May the good Lord bless you with these words.
🌿 Have a blessed day!
