📖 A Thought from My Personal Meditation (Exodus 2)
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As I was meditating on Exodus 2 today, I was reminded of how God prepares those whom He calls.
Even before Moses was born, the enemy tried to destroy him (Exodus 1:22). Yet God miraculously preserved his life and even raised him in Pharaoh’s palace—the very place of the king who sought to destroy the Hebrew boys. What an amazing display of God’s sovereignty!
When Moses was 40 years old (Acts 7:23), he visited his own people to see their suffering (Exodus 2:11). He understood that God would use him to deliver Israel, but he tried to accomplish God’s purpose through his own strength (Acts 7:25). That was not God’s way or God’s timing.
So God led Moses into the wilderness for another 40 years (Acts 7:30). The prince of Egypt became a shepherd. Before God could use Moses to shepherd His people, He first had to shape his heart in the desert.
When God appeared in the burning bush, we no longer see the confident prince—we see a humble man who felt inadequate and kept giving excuses. Yet God patiently strengthened him and reminded him, “I will be with you.” (Exodus 3:12)
One lesson that touched my heart is this:
If God has called someone for His purpose, that journey will often include trials, delays, and seasons of preparation. The process may be painful, but God is shaping His servant for His glory. Trust His timing, because He is preparing you for what He has prepared for you.
